Introducing all puppies to being groomed from a very young age is just as important as house training and teaching social skills but especially important for poodle/doodle mix breeds.

Being professionally groomed means experiencing many new sights, sounds and smells and and these introductions should be done in a gentle, stress free way.

The Dog House offers a ‘Puppy Diploma’ to pups aged between 3 – 6 months of age.

To Graduate…

First session is where owner stays and we chat about puppies personality, best equipment to use for your pups coat type, helpful grooming techniques or any grooming problems you may be experiencing, all whilst pup enjoys a biscuit and is free to explore The Dog House.

Ongoing over four sessions puppy will be introduced to being handled on the grooming
table, having a bath and blow dry with fluff dryer, nail trim and introducing the
noises of equipment used. All this is done at a pace your puppy can deal with,
working towards a full groom.
